About ICVR

The Interested Citizens for Voter Registration, Inc. (ICVR) is a 501 © 3 tax exempt nonprofit organization serving Pine Bluff and Jefferson County, Arkansas. The organization collaborates with the U. S. Department of Justice Office of Justice Weed and Seed Program in Pine Bluff to offer services to more than 6000 residents, 2600 of whom are seventeen years of age or younger.

ICVR teaches youth 6 to 19 years of age to be drug-free, nonviolent, and involved in the community. This is done through classes on the dangers of drug and alcohol use, internet safety, anti-bullying, and non-violence. A computer lab uses tutors to help students and parents in reading, math, and parenting skills. In an addition, ICVR provides mobile conflict resolution sessions for students ages 10 to 19, provides scholarships for graduating high school seniors, sponsors essay contests on nonviolence for students in grades 4 thru 9, and sponsors the KingFest Celebration, an event that focuses on interracial cooperation and community service.

Since 2007, ICVR, Inc. has served youth as an affiliate.
